I was born in Maracaibo, Venezuela but spent some of my childhood living in Montreal, Canada. I graduated in the field of Social Psychology in the year 2000 in La Universidad Rafael Urdaneta (Maracaibo Venezuela) and then continued advanced graduate studies in Cultural Anthropology in La Universidad del Zulia, also in Maracaibo, Venezuela. During this time, I also worked in the Psychology School of La Universidad Rafael Urdaneta as an Assistant Professor in the course of Personality Theories, Social Psychology, Pyschology Critical Theory, was founder of the Psychology of Cyberspace elective course and published the book "Psicologia del Ciberespacio: La Ontologia del "Ser Online" (Psychology of Cyberspace: The Ontology of the "Online Being") by Editorial Astrea. Currently I am pursuing a Masters Degree in Human Informatics at the Tohoku Gakuin University in Sendai, Japan, under the sponsorship of the Japanese Ministry of Culture, Science & Education. My main research interests are in the fields of Psychology of Cyberspace, Anthropology of Cyberspace and Computer Games Studies. My hobbies include snowboarding, scuba diving, karaoke, guitar playing, traveling, camping & trekking and playing video games. Javier |
